DRIVER SAFETY COMPROMISED BY TANKS CANCELLED IN 1996

It seems hard to believe that 24 years after the Department of Labour cancelled approval for the manufacture of tripod tanks in 1996 with the intention that existing tanks would be phased out. These tanks were not to be reconditioned, retrofitted, sold or installed in new locations. What is apparent is that many of these tanks are still being used in 2020 and they are not being maintained or kept safe and are often in sites that are not easy to access.

This post on facebook recently further reinforces the reason why these tanks need to be deemed unfit for use so that we have a tool to use, to have these tanks banned once and for all. McFall Fuel have worked hard to have these tanks no longer in use by offering very affordable lease to own options as well as working with customers to have these tanks consigned to history. This work has been ongoing but it is clear that a line in the sand leaves no room for debate and makes it safer for everyone.
