MCFALL FUEL CELEBRATE SUPPORTING MATAWAI AG DAYS

Area Sales Manager Rochelle Smith (in the photo – on the ground) looks forward to the fun each year and this year saw the five year sponsorship relationship celebrated. “Matawai School’s Agricultural Day 2020 attracted cantankerous calves, jumpy Jack Russell's and the largest tribe of goats the school has ever seen in the event’s 113 year history. And, as usual students and their families were fuelled by a delicious lunch donated by McFall Fuel,” said Principal Glenn Knight. “We’re a remote inland school of only 50 students nestled in the corner of the East Coast. This enjoyable community day is a highlight of our calendar and we’re enormously grateful for the support of McFall Fuel, Rochelle, and the team.”

This year Rochelle was put through her paces as an animal judge. In addition to the lambs and dogs that regularly feature, this year calves made a welcome return to the parade ring. More unusual pets on show included a baby possum, two leverets (baby hares) and some ducklings. Rochelle says she looks forward to the annual Matawai School Ag Day. “It’s a chance to stay in touch with locals and promote the brand in a really positive way. While I’m here I get to catch up with my busy customers and of course hang out with the next generation of primary producers.”
